Women walking partners experience joy of the outdoors and heart-connected conversation, bringing good energy home.
As the the northern hemisphere burrows into autumn, hints of transformation and the approaching winter are everywhere. Quietly subtle in some places, more brilliant in others, but present when we stop to see and notice. Walking in nature makes sense of earth’s continual movement and transition – ebb and flow and cycle of the effortless shift from birth to life to death.
The sunflower begins as a tiny green sprout, nudging up through the dirt to become a goddess of stem, leaves and dazzling yellow. Seasons change, the yellow face droops, birds have their way with the sumptuous seeds and green turns to brown. Wind carries neglected seeds and pockets them back to earth; the process begins again. Steps in the natural progression of life.
Be part of this movement. Find a park, walk your neighborhood, explore a footpath, climb a mountain. Spend a moment to stop and notice the small things – those tiny details are gifts to the “ah-ha” moments that become the seeds of our lives – then turn and share these offerings with your walking partner, take them home to your family, spread them around your community. !!
Shaping our profiles is important because it’s where we share bits of information about ourselves. We like to know something about a person before we connect with them to walk. Photos are helpful, too. Please consider fleshing out your profile info and uploading a profile photo!!
A walker’s motto: “Always be prepared.” Keep a pair of your old walking shoes in your car. You never know when you’ll have the opportunity to squeeze in a 10-minute walk.” JoAnn Taylor, The Walking Connection

A walking partner:
Is someone with whom you share your walks, thoughts and outdoor joyous adventures.
Inspires you to get up, put on your shoes and step into the outdoors ~ even if you don’t feel like going.
Is a companion and a buddy.
Simply shares the rhythm of movement and the beauty of the outside without the need for talking.
