“The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched – they must be felt with the heart.” Helen Keller
In the noise and busy-ness of today’s pace, there are times when we just need to take a break. Do it. Put on your shoes, sling wide the door, let the light shine on your face and start walking. One foot in front of the other. One step at a time. Share it with a walking partner. Walk alone. Meet up with a group and walk. Be kind to yourself.
Walking releases tensions and carries the breath of life. It doesn’t matter what the pace or where, just begin. As you walk, small details will come into focus. They will peak your interest and bring a smile to your face and heart. You will feel more relaxed, letting go of stresses effortlessly.
By the simple act of walking together, enjoying the out of doors, we empower and heal ourselves. Feeling good, positively affects the world around us. Ask others you meet if they enjoy walking. The answer will be, Yes! Walking works.
The intention of WomenWalking is to build a walking movement – a wave of women who get outside to walk and talk together, sharing the extraordinary moments that take place, appreciating all we have in common.
Walking outdoors offers us the freedom to self-express and experience ease. Breath, Step, Release. A woman joyful and the family prospers; the family prospers and the village is fortified; the village fortified, the woman secure and the circle is complete.
Put on your shoes, bring your stories and step outdoors to walk with a walking partner. Feel your life with your heart.
